Since I just started this blog, I figured I should give a low down on my plans for the rest of the year. None of this is set in stone, except the field trips and the trips that have already happened.
January
In January I found myself down in Florida. I flew into Ft. Lauderdale, rented a car and then drove down to Key West. This was a milestone in my life since it was my very first 100% solo trip. I learned a lot, spent to much money, slept in my car, and met a creeper. (I'll get the post up in a couple weeks)
February
I was supposed to go the Philadelphia to go to Apollycon (a book release/signing party from my favorite author). The hotel required that I be 21 in order to check in so I didn't go. Maybe in the future I'll get to meet her and tell her how much I love all of her books.
March
Spring break was this month and where did I spend it, or at least a couple day of it, Vegas baby! I spent a day and a half in Vegas and then met up with the class to go on our geology field trip to Death Valley for the remainder of the week. After that we returned to Vegas to spend the night there. Look for the post in the coming weeks!
Death Valley National Park was amazing! Look for the posts to come in the following weeks!
Later This Year
I'm going to Minneapolis to spend a day shopping at the Mall of America. I'm super excited because they have a store that carries my size shoes and I can actually try on girls shoes! I haven't been able to do that since I was in fifth grade when I wore a scarce women's size 11. Now at women's size 14, shoes are even harder to find!
I'm going on another geology trip! It will be in southern Minnesota/northern Iowa and we are going to be digging up fossils! I've been on this trip before and it was a blast, so why not take it again. It rained the whole time when I last went on it. There was even a tornado that touched down near our campsite one night. Hopefully there are no tornadoes and it is sunny and warm this time!
Then the following week I am making a trip to Chicago to go to the Trans World Jewelry Show. I AM SO EXCITED!
Back to Vegas!! I'm going to my first concert to see The Eagles!!! I am just sooooo excited! It's THE EAGLES!!
I don't have any major plans for June yet that I am aware of. I may have to go a couple places for work and I may turn those into trips, but most likely I will be dead to the world. Calculus 1 in a four week class...... yay? Then Claculus 2 right after that in an eight week class... yayyer??
I'm going to visit my friend in Michigan! It is her 21st birthday and since we'll both be 21 I have to go visit! Plus I told myself I would visit once a year, or at least try my hardest to visit once a year.
Spain! I am determined to get there this year and determination makes all the difference, so I like to think. It has been way too long since I have visited my host family and I'm dying to go back!
You guessed it, another geology trip! This trip will be to the Black Hills in South Dakota and some places in Wyoming.
Winter break! I'm thinking a Caribbean Cruise. It's all inclusive and I won't have to worry about gas or a rental car or a hotel. Plus I'll get a bunch of shiny new stamps in my passport.
Locally
I am planning on doing a lot more local stuff. I want to explore the area and do local things. Surely there is something to do in the place I think has nothing to do. Maybe ESPN will come back this year, that would be fun!
What are your plans for 2015?
